New Virus Threat Detected On The Traffic Exchanges

While surfing the traffic exchanges today we uncovered a virus issue that is everywhere. This virus is a fake security software bug that forces you to pay for the software in order to remove it from your computer.

The link cloaking system known as Viral URL is the source of the problem. Each encounter with the Viral URL links today trigger our Avira AV software. When we tried to contact the administrators of this site through their main page, Avira wouldn’t even let us on site.

Obviously this virus is pretty serious so take precautions. You may also see this pop up on credit based safe lists and ad exchanges as well.

As before, we recommend Avira and MalwareBytes (Google them) as the best method of protection for Internet marketers using click traffic resources.

We have contacted several of the traffic exchange administrators in order to make them aware and are doing out best to spread the word so people can protect themselves. Please help us help others by retweeting this blog post and spreading the word.

From Joe: Here are a few tips which you need to take right away to assure that you have a fighting chance of staying
safe during this Tsunami of a! virus plague.

1. Make sure your windows operating system is fully updated with all service packs. Failure to do this will ensure that you are infected.

2. Be sure your antivirus program is updated TODAY especially, and always. I do it daily. I recommend you do too.

3. Run your antivirus full scan every night while you sleep.

4. Clean your cookies and history daily.

Warning! I have been asking for months

Thanks!

Rex and Joe
